A hearse is a purpose-equipped vehicle for carrying a coffin. It is selected for the coffin size, route and family preferences. Access to the building, securing arrangements and flower placement are checked before departure.
A minibus or cars can be arranged for relatives. This is useful when guests have no transport or the ceremony includes several locations.
The route may include a morgue, farewell hall, church, cemetery, crematorium and restaurant. The coordinator checks travel time, parking and safe places for passengers to enter and leave vehicles.
Allowance is made for Riga traffic. Relying only on the navigation estimate can be risky when a cemetery or crematorium requires arrival within a fixed time window.
Cost depends on vehicle type, route length, number of stops, waiting time and travel outside Riga. Transport for relatives is calculated separately.
