Changes to Riga Cemetery Operations for the 2025–2026 Winter
Starting December 1, 2025, Riga's city cemeteries will switch to winter operating hours. According to official information, all Riga cemeteries will be open to visitors until 6:00 PM, and burials will be possible until 3:00 PM. The Riga City Funeral Service notes that winter significantly increases the load on public utilities, so temporary restrictions on vehicle movement may be imposed in some areas.
