Sun - Mon: Closed.
You can get to the cemetery by bus No. 2, 11, 48, 24; trolleybus No. 3.
This necropolis is filled with burials and is classified as partially closed. It does not offer new burial plots in the traditional way. The cemetery allows reburials in existing family plots with a coffin and urn.
Reburial plots are provided free of charge; however, organizing them requires at least partial dismantling of existing grave structures. After the burial, the structures are restored; the associated work is subject to a fee.
A number of additional paid services are also available at the Aizsaules Street Cemetery.
Family burials are permitted in these cemetery areas after twenty years have passed since the previous burial. There are no sanitary regulations for burials in urns.
If you have a relative buried at the cemetery and wish to perform a secondary burial in an existing grave, you will need the appropriate permit. This permit is issued by the Aizsaules Street Cemetery administration upon presentation of a death certificate, a document confirming the family relationship, and a completed permit application with the applicant's passport (ID).
